How matching works

Each person you see gets a common-ground score from 0 to 100. The score combines your profile and questionnaire:

SignalWeightWhat it measures
Interests24%How many interest tags you share, relative to how many you each picked.
Ideas24%How similar your written ideas, headline and background are. Distinctive words count more than common ones.
Complementary skills16%Skills one of you offers that the other is looking for, in both directions.
Looking for8%Whether you want the same kind of collaboration, such as a co-founder or a study group.
Questionnaire20%Shared fun answers (25%), shared preferences (25%) and similar value rankings (50%). Myers-Briggs is excluded.
Industry8%Shared industry background.

These are pilot weights, awaiting the organisers’ final questionnaire and scoring design. If either profile predates the questionnaire, profile signals alone are used with weights of 30%, 30%, 20%, 10% and 10%.

The overlapping circles show the score: the more they overlap, the more common ground. Each match lists the reasons behind it so you can judge for yourself.

Everything is calculated on this server from profiles and questionnaire answers. Nothing is sent to an outside AI service. Hidden profiles are never matched.
